With BayCon, Fanime, and KublaCon coming up--and knowing some of you guys are major photohounds--I figure this is a good time to point out that
Bay Area Science Fiction Fandom is still up and could still use more users and content.
I'm planning on putting together some flyers for the tables at BayCon, but it's hard to get from no traffic to some traffic. It's much easier to get from some traffic to more traffic.
What would really help is posting some convention/event photos on the site, and maybe posting about event experiences in the forum area dedicated to conventions. Once people see other people on there and halfway active, the rest tends to come together.
I'll also mention that I'm happy to feature announcements about events, 'zine releases, etc. on the front page. SF/SF is already taking advantage of this. Join the site and post the announcement as a blog, then point me to the entry to feature it.
The other thing that could really help out is some art assets for the site, so I can actually customize the background and masthead, and (thinking really ambitiously) maybe even a logo. If you have any ideas in that regard, let me know--I'd be very interested.
